hem tips

Remove lace trimming at hem. Trim skirt and lining to desired length. Reattach lace trimming with single-needle topstitch. Finish jersey lining with a double-needle coverstitch. Remember to cut the same measurement from both the lace and the lining.

This dress is beautiful and very well made however it went all wrong for me personally. The dress and sleeves were very long so if you are shorter, be prepared to have the dress hemmed. The sheer lace at the chest was not flattering over a large bust and a little scratchy. The scalloped edging below waist made me look very oddly proportioned and even shorter than I already am. I decided not to wear the dress and ordered something different.
